Wickersley Council serves a community of approximately x,000 residents. It consists of x Councillors elected for a term of four years who will now hold office until May 2021. Wickersley Parish Councillors are all volunteers and they receive no financial allowances for their term in office.

Wickersley is a beautiful and historic parish. It has many rural aspects with two woodland areas - Wickersley Wood and Wickersley Gorse, two large recreational areas - Bob Mason Recreational Ground and Wickersley Park - where major development work is underway. The Parish is based in the Community Centre and Library in the heart of the village. The village itself has a busy shopping area alongside a vibrant social scene. Winthrop Gardens, at the edge of the village, is a community and sensory Gardens and Tea Rooms run by a team of 60+ volunteers supported by the Parish. These are some images of these sites.
