Serving the people of Little Houghton

Why have a village website?

Not many people have visited the current Little Houghton Village website recently. However, as it is a legal requirement that the Parish Council must have one to publish its agenda and meeting minutes, the Council reviewed the current content and not surprisingly found that it carried a lot of information relating to pre Covid times. It was also found to be difficult to navigate so it was decided that we should make it simpler and intuitive to use. To that end we are going to adopt a specialist Parish Council website template that is already being successfully used by many other councils.

We are grateful for the help of web experts in the village, Joe Zielinski and Jack Sumeray who have given their time freely to help us plan the new approach. We also welcome Jane Marriott onto the web team who has offered to help source and collate information to publish on the site.

Please let us know the type of information you would like to see on the website so we can start putting the content together while the team build the web pages ready to be launched towards the end of the year. Feel free to send me an email with your thoughts.

If you have any photographs of the village that you think you would appropriate for use on the website, please send them to me.
