Cllr Kevin Hewitson
I came to live in Denton with my family in 1992 when I started teaching in the town. I still value the many aspects of Denton and its people that attracted me all those years ago. As a Parish Councillor and Secretary to the village surgery patient group, the DSPG, I have worked to ensure future residents and generations get to have the same experience and opportunities that attracted me to the village. During the Covid-19 I organised over 40 village volunteers, delivered prescriptions, oversaw PPE equipment production and organised food boxes. Since January I have been a volunteer marshall at the Grange Park vaccination centre where I meet and register people attending for their vaccination.
I am keen to facilitate the communication between the Parish Council and the residents of Denton and I am presently working to get the new parish council website ready for launch.
