Alison Robinson
Chief Executive Officer

Alison Robinson was appointed to the position of Chief Executive Officer for GAPTC in January 2015. She holds the sector qualification CiLCA (Certificate in Local Council Administration) and has completed a number of Community Governance Degree modules. She is responsible for ensuring the strategic objectives of the organisation are delivered. This includes coordinating the Local Council Award Scheme (LCAS), the independent audit scheme, researching and developing appropriate training; as well as representing the organisation at regional and national level.
Previously Alison worked for Economic Development in a Local Authority in the North East of England for over a decade, managing a range of programmes funded through various funding streams. This included European Regional Development Funds (ERDF), Single Regeneration Budgets (SRB), and Housing Market Renewal funding. Prior to this, she worked in the Voluntary and Community Sector (VCS) developing projects, fund raising, conducting training and building capacity and sustainability strategies.
Alison has a strong sense of civic responsibility and has undertaken various voluntary roles on VCS management committees. She is currently a trustee at Gloucestershire Community Foundation, and an equality rep, and works with Unison (Local Government Branch - Gloucestershire)
Outside of work she likes listening to music, studying, and running; and is a 'Leader in Running Fitness', she is a member of Stroud District Athletics Club. 2019 will be another active year, as she completes a range of marathons (including her first 'dark skies' one).

Shirley Godsall
Administrator
Gloucestershire Association of Parish and Town Councils
Shirley has worked for GAPTC since 2013 and is a part time administrator for the organisation, working ten hours per week. She holds the ILCA qualification (Introduction to Local Council Administration). Prior to this she worked in local government (elections) so already had a working relationship with GAPTC before starting her employment.
In her spare time she loves to garden, lounging at home, and spend quality time with the family (especially her grand-daughter).

Anita Sach
Communication and Support Officer
GAPTC
Anita Sach has been a Clerk to a rural parish council since 2004 and for a number of years. She is CiLCA qualified and has completed the 'law' module of the Community Governance degree.
Primarily she is responsible for communication, making sure the website is up to date and our members get regular information. She also delivers some of the core training for GAPTC, including Being a Better Councillor and Chairmanship Skills courses
Anita's background is in tourism where, when she is not involved in her local government work, she is a travel writer and tour leader, specialising in guides to Vietnam and Cambodia as well as an editor and proof-reader for guide book publishers.

Sue Creswick
Parish Liaison Officer
GAPTC
Sue has been involved with Parish and Town Councils since 1999; first as a clerk and now as a councillor. She works part time (ten hours) at GAPTC providing advice and guidance via telephone and emails. She is CiLCA quailifed.
She values the work parish councils do in their community and is always keen to help where she can. Sue has a background in business and marketing, which saw her working in London and Canada.
Some of her spare time is taken up with looking after and riding her two horses, and acting as trustee for a youth project.
