Cllr Bev Thornley
Anston Parish Council
Bev moved to the local area in 1997 with her husband and family, but had served the local community in the local bank since 1990. She was elected to the Parish Council as a Liberal Democrat councillor in 2018.
Bev has two sons that both attended Anston Greenlands School and Bev was Chairman/Vice Chairman of the Parents Teachers Association during that period. Bev won a £5000 grant for the school to improve the playground facilities from the bank where she worked. She has always cared for the people in the local area and is keen to improve safety and facilities for all. Outside the council Bev is a semi retired bank manager and now works part time for a local company doing the wages and admin role and training all their new recruits. Bev loves to travel and spending time with her family and two dogs.
