The four requested tree removals below are all required for reasons relating to implementing the approved plans of application AVA/2016/0433.

Sycamore (Tree 199) - Fell. The upper north-west canopy is now overly exposed following the approved removal of adjacent trees. Additionally the whole stem and tree structure overhangs the cabin location more severely than was noticed at the original survey. Its removal now will alleviate future concerns and more hazardous/costly tree removal once cabin is built.

Elder (Tree 240) - Fell. As per the Arb Impact Assessment submitted with planning aplication AVA/2016/0433 , cabins have been located within a range of tolerance to enable us to avoid significant tree roots etc when piling. In utilising this range, the location for Cabin 8's door has ended up having a small elder tree directly and closely in front of it (it would have been just to the side). A very low quality and minor shrubby tree.

Rowan (Tree 252) - Fell. An (over)mature Rowan. Our intention was to keep this tree, but it has noticeable co-dominant stems with bark inclusion and at this condition and age it is unwise to keep adjacent to cabin balcony. Tree failure would be costly. Other nearby rowans of similar age and form had failed and were removed under the permission (trees 250 and 251).

Elder (Tree 267) - Fell. Having prepared the ground for installation of car ports it appears tree 267's canopy is to be overly compromised, requiring severe pruning for clearance. As the tree is very low quality we request to remove it instead.
